Search and recovery missions are needed for all sorts of items, both big and small, and these missions are often affected by changing sea conditions, unknown topography and changes in visibility.
One aspect of these missions that should be unchanging is the level of organization that is involved in planning a search and rescue mission, which is part of what you’ll learn on this course.
WHO is up for adventure?
If you’re at least a Junior Advanced Open Water Diver and over 12 years old – welcome aboard the search and recovery dive team!
WHAT is all the fuss about?
Sidemount diving is growing in popularity due to the increased flexibility it offers divers.
Not only that, but sidemount diving takes the pressure off your spine and back, an important aspect for many divers who may have suffered injuries in the past.
Sidemount diving eliminates the need to walk to the dive site with a heavy cylinder attached to your back as the cylinders are simply clipped on once in the water.
WHAT will I learn?
Learn all about how to locate lost items using search patterns and how to avoid disturbing the marine life around you during your search.
You’ll also learn how to tie knots and which lifting and recovery procedures to use once you find the missing object.

The skills and techniques learned in the search and recovery course are likely to remain with you forever and will equip you with the necessary experience to handle any situation.
WHEN will I be ready?
The Search and Recovery course is done over the course of 2 days and comprises 4 search and recovery dives.

HOW do I do it?
