WHO is up for adventure?
Do you want to help others learn emergency first responder skills? Are you looking for extra college credit?
Anyone over 18 who has been CPR and First Aid trained within the last 2 years can take part in the Emergency First Responder Instructor course.
WHAT is all the fuss about?
CPR and First Aid skills are always in high demand, and being authorised to teach these skills is often in ever higher demand.
Help to prepare others for what to do in the event of an emergency and cement the knowledge in your skill set.
After all, the best way to learn is to teach.
WHAT will I learn?
In addition to learning various teaching techniques to increase effectiveness, you’ll learn how to conduct the EFR Primary Care course as well as the EFR Secondary Care course focusing on First Aid.
Learn how to teach others the skills you already know, such as how to use an AED or emergency oxygen or how to deal with a consciously choking victim.
What will I need?
EFR Instructor trainees will need to purchase a Start-Up Kit which includes all instructional materials. The product number is 60215 and it can be purchased prior to your course start date by simply contacting PADI.
The kit contains:
- Student DVDs and manuals for Primary Care, Secondary Care, CPR/AED and Care for Children modules
- Instructor guides for the above modules
- Student exams for completion of study of Primary Care, Secondary Care and Care for Children
- Marketing pack
- Bandage kit
- Helpful Care-at-a-Glance flashcard
- Red Emergency First Response duffel bag
WHERE will it take me?
Are you looking for extra college credit? You could earn college credit by taking the EFR Instructor Course.
It’s also the opportunity to enhance your skills and add the skill of teaching to your repertoire.
As an EFR Instructor there are a number of other courses you could teach to continue with your professional diving certifications.
WHY should I be excited?
There’s so much to learn and experience!
Try your hand at structuring lessons, facilitating learning, motivating students and evaluating students’ understanding of the content. Practice your skills for effectively delivering course content and setting up scenario-based learning situations.
You’ll also have the knowledge to teach students the practical, hands-on skills associated with First Aid and CPR.
